Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 October 2026 · O&C Technology Pty Ltd (ABN 62 701 290 306, ACN 701 290 306), trading as VECTA AI
These Terms of Service (Terms) are a binding agreement between you and O&C Technology Pty Ltd (ABN 62 701 290 306, ACN 701 290 306), trading as VECTA AI (Vecta, we, us, our). They govern your access to and use of the vectapp.io website, the Vecta platform, the Vecta AI agent and all related services (together, the Service).
By creating an account, clicking accept, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, AI Disclosure, Billing and Refunds Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and CDR Policy, each of which forms part of this agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Update 2 October 2026: we corrected the plan descriptions to match the Service as provided. Earlier versions listed per-plan transaction-history limits, per-plan refresh speeds and alerts, which the Service does not offer. Prices, allowances and your rights are unchanged.

2. About the Service
Vecta is a software platform that aggregates your Financial Data from banks, brokers, superannuation funds and card providers into a single view, and provides analytics, reports and AI-generated insights through the Vecta AI agent.
The Service is strictly read-only. Vecta cannot move money, place trades, initiate payments, change account settings at your institutions, or otherwise transact on your behalf. The permissions we request from your institutions and data partners do not allow it.
Vecta is not a bank, authorised deposit-taking institution, broker, superannuation trustee, insurer, credit provider or payment service provider. We do not hold, transfer or custody client funds. All fees we charge are for software access and AI usage only.
3. No financial, tax or legal advice
The Service provides factual information, analytics and AI-generated insights derived from your own Financial Data. It is general in nature and does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs.
Nothing in the Service constitutes personal financial product advice, general financial product advice, a recommendation to acquire, hold or dispose of any financial product, credit assistance, or an offer of financial services within the meaning of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). Vecta does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence and does not provide services that require one.
Vecta is not a registered tax agent, BAS agent or tax (financial) adviser under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (Cth). Information in the Service, including categorisations, summaries and estimates, must not be relied on for preparing tax returns or making tax decisions. You are solely responsible for your own tax affairs, including reporting obligations to the Australian Taxation Office, and should engage a registered tax agent or accountant for tax advice.
Before making any financial decision, consider seeking advice from a professional licensed to provide it.
4. Eligibility and account registration
To use the Service you must be at least 18 years old, capable of forming a binding contract, and using the Service for your own personal purposes in respect of accounts you are legally entitled to access.
- You must provide accurate, current and complete registration information and keep it updated.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your Account.
- You must notify us immediately at contact@vectapp.io if you suspect unauthorised access to your Account.
- You may only link financial accounts that you own or are lawfully authorised to access. Linking another person's accounts without authority is prohibited and may be a criminal offence.
- One person per Account. Accounts are not transferable.
5. Linked Accounts and data connections
Bank connections are made under the CDR through accredited data recipients and partners. Broker, superannuation and other connections are made through secure, consent-based, read-only integrations. Your institution credentials are entered with your institution or our data partner, never stored by Vecta.
You may revoke any data-sharing consent at any time through the Service or through your institution. After revocation we stop collecting new data from that connection and handle previously collected data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and CDR Policy.
The availability, accuracy, completeness and timeliness of Financial Data depends on your institutions and our data partners. Data may be delayed, unavailable or contain errors originating from those sources. We do not guarantee that any particular institution will be or remain supported.
6. Plans and inclusions
The Service is offered on the following Plans. All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Current pricing is displayed on our pricing page and in the app at the time of purchase.
- All Plans include the dashboard, AI insights, reports and portfolio view, with data synced automatically and on demand. Transaction history is what your institution makes available through the data provider.
- Free (A$0 per month): 1 connected institution and 20 Agent Messages per month (equal to a 20 Token monthly allowance).
- Basic (A$29 per month, or A$348 per year): up to 3 connected institutions, the Connector API (up to 2 keys), and 50 Agent Messages per month (equal to a 50 Token monthly allowance).
- Pro (A$79 per month, or A$758.40 per year at 20% off): up to 5 connected institutions, the Connector API (up to 5 keys), and 100 Agent Messages per month (equal to a 100 Token monthly allowance).
- Premium (A$150 per month, or A$1,440 per year at 20% off): unlimited connected institutions, the Connector API (up to 10 keys), and 200 Agent Messages per month (equal to a 200 Token monthly allowance).
We may change Plan features or pricing in accordance with clause 9. Feature descriptions on the pricing page at the time of your purchase or renewal apply to that billing period.
7. Tokens and agent usage
Use of the Vecta AI agent is metered in Tokens. Each Plan includes a monthly Token allowance that resets each calendar month, whether you pay monthly or yearly. Unused monthly allowance Tokens do not roll over.
The number of Tokens consumed by an Agent Message varies with the nature and complexity of the request. In particular, Token consumption depends on the type of question (for example banking, investment or superannuation queries), the depth of analysis required, and the number of institutions and Linked Accounts the agent must query, because requests that span many institutions are computationally heavier. Indicative Token costs are described in the AI Disclosure and shown in the app where practicable.
Additional Tokens (Extra Tokens) can be purchased from the account area of the app by subscribers on the Basic, Pro and Premium Plans. Extra Tokens are not available on the Free Plan. There is no limit on the quantity of Extra Tokens you may purchase. Extra Tokens do not expire while your Account remains open and are consumed only after your monthly allowance is exhausted.
Tokens (including Extra Tokens) have no cash value, are not legal tender, e-money or a financial product, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for money except where required by law or expressly stated in our Billing and Refunds Policy.
We may update Token accounting (for example, the indicative cost of query types) to reflect underlying compute costs. Material changes will be notified in accordance with clause 19 and will not reduce a monthly allowance you have already paid for in the current cycle.
8. Billing, renewals and payment
Paid Plans may be billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Yearly billing for Pro and Premium is charged as a single annual amount at a 20% discount compared with paying month to month. Basic yearly is charged as 12 months at the monthly rate, with no yearly discount. Extra Token purchases are one-off charges billed at the time of purchase.
- Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.
- You authorise us to charge your nominated payment method for recurring subscription fees and any Extra Token purchases you make.
- A tax invoice is issued for each charge. All charges include GST where applicable under A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999 (Cth).
- Upgrades take effect immediately with a pro-rated charge for the remainder of the cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
- If a recurring payment fails, we will retry and notify you. If payment remains outstanding after reasonable attempts and notice, we may downgrade your Account to the Free Plan or suspend paid features until payment is made.
- Cancelling your subscription stops future renewals. You retain paid features until the end of the period you have paid for. See the Billing and Refunds Policy for detail.
9. Price and feature changes
We may change subscription prices, Token pricing or Plan inclusions from time to time. For existing subscribers we will give at least 30 days notice by email or in-app notification before a price increase takes effect. If you do not agree to a change, you may cancel before it takes effect and the change will not apply to the period you have already paid for.
10. Refunds and consumer guarantees
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have services remedied if they are not rendered with due care and skill and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
In addition to your ACL rights, refund handling for subscriptions and Extra Tokens is set out in our Billing and Refunds Policy. Except where the ACL or that policy provides otherwise, fees are non-refundable, and change of mind refunds are not offered on consumed Tokens.
11. Acceptable use, fraud and security
You must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. Without limiting it, you must not:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including fraud, money laundering, terrorism financing or evasion of law enforcement
- link accounts you are not lawfully entitled to access, or misrepresent your identity
- attempt to circumvent Token metering, plan limits, or security controls
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our prior written consent
- scrape, resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service or data derived from it without our written agreement
- use the Service to build a competing product, or reverse engineer any part of it except as permitted by law
- submit content to the agent that is malicious, infringing, or designed to manipulate the agent into unsafe behaviour
We operate fraud and abuse detection. We may suspend or restrict an Account while we investigate suspected fraud, unauthorised access, or breach of these Terms, and we may report suspected criminal conduct to law enforcement, regulators or affected institutions.
If you identify suspicious activity on your bank or broker accounts, contact your institution immediately. Disputes about transactions on your underlying accounts (including unauthorised transactions and chargebacks on those accounts) are between you and your institution. Vecta displays data only and is not a party to those transactions.
12. AI-generated content
Responses from the Vecta AI agent are generated automatically from your aggregated Financial Data using our proprietary orchestration layer and third-party large language models. AI output may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect, and may occasionally misstate figures despite our grounding controls.
You must verify material figures against your institution before relying on them. The AI Disclosure explains the agent's capabilities, limitations and data handling in detail and forms part of these Terms.
13. Intellectual property
We (and our licensors) own all intellectual property rights in the Service, including the Vecta software, the Vecta AI agent, our models, prompts, orchestration, designs, branding and documentation. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes while you have an Account in good standing.
You retain ownership of your Financial Data. You grant us a licence to host, process, transmit, analyse and display your Financial Data solely to provide and improve the Service, consistent with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data and we do not permit third-party AI providers to train their models on it.
If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use them without restriction or compensation.
14. Privacy and data
Our collection, use, storage and disclosure of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy and, for CDR data, our CDR Policy. Both are available in the Legal hub. By using the Service you acknowledge those policies.
You can request deletion of your Account and associated data at any time from settings. Deletion is permanent, subject to records we must retain by law.
15. Availability, changes and support
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee that the Service will be continuous, uninterrupted, secure or error-free. Planned and unplanned downtime, institution outages and data partner interruptions may occur.
We may improve, modify, add or remove features of the Service. If a change materially reduces the core functionality of a paid Plan during a period you have paid for, you may cancel and receive a pro-rated refund for the unused remainder of that period.
Support is provided by email at contact@vectapp.io. We do not guarantee response times on the Free Plan.
16. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including our CDR-accredited data partner, cloud infrastructure providers, AI model providers and payment processors. Third-party terms may apply to their services. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of your financial institutions.
17. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the ACL or any other statutory protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to the paragraph above: (a) our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the greater of A$100 and the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; (b) we are not liable for loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of opportunity, loss of data (to the extent you could reasonably have backed it up), or any indirect or consequential loss; and (c) where a consumer guarantee applies but our liability may lawfully be limited, our liability is limited to resupplying the services or paying the cost of having the services resupplied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any investment, trading, tax, credit or other financial decision you make, or refrain from making, in reliance on the Service, including AI-generated insights. You acknowledge that you make all financial decisions on your own judgment or with advice from licensed professionals.
Each party's liability is reduced proportionately to the extent the loss was caused or contributed to by that party's own negligence, breach or unlawful conduct.
18. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you indemnify us against loss, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal costs) we suffer arising from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful conduct, or your infringement of a third party's rights, except to the extent we caused or contributed to the loss.
19. Suspension and termination
You may close your Account at any time from settings. We may suspend or terminate your Account with immediate effect if you materially breach these Terms, we reasonably suspect fraud or unlawful activity, we are required to do so by law, or continuing to provide the Service would create material risk for us or others. Where practicable we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy first.
On termination your licence ends, and we will handle your data in accordance with the Privacy Policy, including deletion rights. Clauses that by their nature survive termination (including intellectual property, liability, indemnity and dispute resolution) continue to apply.
If we terminate your paid Plan without cause, we will refund the pro-rated unused portion of fees you have paid for the current period.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will give at least 30 days notice by email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect.
21. Complaints and dispute resolution
If you have a complaint, contact us first at contact@vectapp.io with the subject line Complaint. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 21 business days.
If we cannot resolve a dispute through good-faith discussion within 30 days, either party may refer the dispute to mediation administered by the Resolution Institute (Australia) before commencing court proceedings, except where urgent injunctive relief is sought.
Nothing in this clause prevents you from making a complaint to a regulator at any time, including the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (privacy and CDR data) or the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (consumer law), or from exercising your rights under the ACL.
22. General
- Governing law: these Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
- Severability: if any provision is invalid or unenforceable, it is severed and the remainder continues in force.
- No waiver: a failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign to a related body corporate or in connection with a merger, acquisition or asset sale, with notice to you.
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the policies they incorporate, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
- Notices: we may give notices by email to your registered address or in-app. You may give notices to contact@vectapp.io.
